E. Albert Reece, MD, PhD, MBA, became dean of the University of Maryland School of Medicine in September 2006. His research focuses on the effects of diabetes during pregnancy, birth defects and prenatal diagnosis. He has published 11 books, four monographs and 450 peer-reviewed articles, chapters and abstracts.
